MBR technology & applications
Proprietary MBR products and systems:
- Aerobic MBR
- Anaerobic MBR (AnMBR)
Market applications:
- Industrial small-scale, Industrial large-scale
- Food and beverage, pulp and paper, brewery, distillery
- Chemical and pharmaceutical, biofuels, among others
The ADI®MBR system can be used as a stand-alone process or to polish anaerobically pretreated wastewater, produce high-quality effluent to meet strict discharge limits or reuse in plant operations. Advantages include: easy operation and maintenance, reduced or eliminated disinfection, low TMP operation, compact footprint, and reduced sludge.
The ADI®AnMBR is a high-rate anaerobic process that uses a membrane barrier to perform the gas-liquid-solids separation and reactor biomass retention functions. This near-absolute barrier to solids ensures efficient system operation and stability, even under high organic loading and intense mixing scenarios. Since gravity settling is not required, higher organic loadings and mixing intensities can be employed than with other anaerobic technologies.
Evoqua’s ADI Systems works with clients from pilot-scale experimentation through to design/build, turnkey solutions. Industries served include: food and beverage, pulp and paper, brewery, distillery, chemical and pharmaceutical, biofuels, among others.
