Evoqua to supply Memcor® MBR membranes for Cleveland Bay water purification plant upgrade in Australia

Posted on

Evoqua Water Technologies has been selected by Townsville City Council to replace the membrane system for the water purification plant at Cleveland Bay in Australia, following a competitive tender process.

The original membrane bioreactor (MBR) plant has been in operation for eight years. Evoqua’s Memcor® MBR line features an immersed hollow fibre membrane system that performs a critical role within the upgraded plant and increases the plant’s hydraulic performance. The upgraded plant will be the largest MBR facility in Australia.

The project is funded by the Queensland Government and the Townsville City Council.

Evoqua's global R&D and manufacturing site is located in Australia.
