With production locations in Germany, China and Singapore as well as offices in the USA and South America, MICRODYN-NADIR is a leading, independent producer of micro-, ultra- and nanofiltration membranes and modules. Besides membrane and module production, MICRODYN-NADIR pursues intensive research and development activities at its headquarters in Wiesbaden.
For more than 45 years, MICRODYN-NADIR has been applying its products in various industrial and municipal applications, e.g. in the field of water and wastewater treatment as well as in many process-integrated applications. The product’s outstandingly sharp cut-offs and reproducibility allow for a high application variety, among others in the chemical and food industry.
One of MICRODYN-NADIR’s most innovative products is the submerged BIO-CEL® module for membrane bioreactors. This backwashable module comprises the advantages of flat membranes as well as it is featured with the packing density of hollow-fibre modules, which allows for fantastic application possibilities in the field of municipal and industrial wastewater treatment. The BIO-CEL® is available with 10, 50, 100, 416 and 1900 m2 of membrane area, has self-healing membrane sheets and is mechanically cleanable.
Since February 2015 MICRODYN-NADIR has become a 100 per cent subsidiary of MANN+HUMMEL. Since August 2014 MICRODYN-NADIR has been responsible for MANN+HUMMEL’s water business. MANN+HUMMEL’s membrane activities have been marketed under MICRODYN-NADIR’s company brand ever since. The ultrafiltration membranes and modules of MANN+HUMMEL are marketed and distributed under the product brand AQUADYN®, which is a registered trademark of MICRODYN-NADIR in Europe.
