Mitsubishi Rayon to expand water treatment membrane business in Vietnam

01 February 2013

Mitsubishi Rayon Co., Ltd. has entered into a distributor agreement with the Vietnamese engineering firm, Greentech Environment Joint Stock Company, based in Ho Chi Minh City, in order to strengthen its water treatment-related businesses in Vietnam. Through Greentech, MRC will market membrane bioreactor hollow fibre membranes for use in wastewater treatment equipment installed in hospitals, hotels, factories and other facilities.

Established in 2003, Greentech is a locally financed engineering firm with 60 employees that has installed a large number of wastewater treatment equipment throughout Vietnam. Primarily involved in the sale of wastewater treatment equipment to Japanese factories as well as hospitals and hotels, Greentech has already handled MRC’s water treatment membranes. With wastewater regulations becoming more stringent in recent years, the use of MBR advanced treatment technology has spread in Vietnam in such areas as wastewater recycling. MRC aims to expand the Vietnamese MBR market in cooperation with universities, research institutes and other organisations.
