Aquabio Ltd celebrates twenty years in the industry
27 July 2017
Aquabio Ltd, which specialises in industrial wastewater treatment and water recycling and reuse, is celebrating 20 years in the industry.
The company, which is based in Worcester in the UK, was originally set up as a private business in 1997, developing systems for the treatment and re-use of industrial wastewater – particularly in the fields of membrane bioreactors, reverse osmosis and anaerobic digestion – at its customers’ facilities.
Since its launch, Aquabio has re-used 16 billion litres of water across all its plants – the same amount as 6400 Olympic sized swimming pools or 3 years’ worth of water consumption for the entire city of Worcester. The company has pioneered the implementation of water recycling within a wide range of industries including food and drink, bio fuels, pulp and paper, landfill and leachate and pharmaceuticals.
Steve Goodwin, Managing Director of Aquabio Ltd, said : ‘We are delighted to have reached such an important milestone in our business. Our twenty successful years are testimony to the hard work, commitment, dedication and professionalism of our employees as well as the innovative approach we have developed in our industry. We will all be celebrating in style and look forward to the next 20 years!’
Aquabio is now part of the Freudenberg Group, a global company which operates in 60 countries worldwide.
